LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was listed as doubtful Wednesday for the Thanksgiving Day game in Detroit against the Lions.

Trubisky suffered a right shoulder injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday night's 25-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

If he can't play, the Bears will turn to backup Chase Daniel, who has not started or played extensively in an NFL game since 2014.

Mariota improving, status still unclear

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) The Tennessee Titans are back in wait-and-see mode with Marcus Mariota.

The quarterback is trying to recover from a stinger that knocked him out of their last game. Mariota said Wednesday that the stinger, which came from a hit to his head in last week's 38-10 loss to the Colts, left him with some numbness in his throwing arm. But Mariota said the injury is not related to the nerve issue in his elbow that cost him playing time in September.

Darnold suits up but sits Jets' practice

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) Sam Darnold had his jersey and helmet back on, a positive sign for the New York Jets rookie quarterback.

He still sat out team drills again Wednesday, making it more likely that he'll miss his second straight game.

Carr doesn't want Raiders picking first

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) The Oakland Raiders will not get the No. 1 overall pick in next year's draft if quarterback Derek Carr has any say in it.

For the 15th time in the last 16 seasons, the Raiders will finish no better than .500, and that's if they run the table over the final six weeks.

Falcons LB Jones won't return vs. Saints

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) Atlanta Falcons linebacker Deion Jones has been ruled out of Thursday night's game at the New Orleans Saints.

Jones came off injured reserve last week after missing two months with a broken right foot. He was inactive against Dallas last Sunday.

Ravens G Yanda denies spitting at Bengal

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) Baltimore Ravens guard Marshal Yanda vehemently denies he spit in the face of a Bengals player at the end of a scrum last Sunday.

After a video circulated this week that showed spit dropping from Yanda's face toward prone linebacker Vontaze Burfict, some suggested the act was intentional.

Jackson helps Bengals plan vs. ex-team

CINCINNATI (AP) Bengals coach Marvin Lewis shut down the question immediately, making it clear he won't be talking about the latest addition to his staff - one who's in an unusual position to influence the next game.

Only last month, Hue Jackson was Cleveland's head coach, intimately involved in the Browns' game planning. Now he's on the Bengals sideline with Lewis, trying to beat the Browns - a sensitive subject that the head coach is trying to put off limits.

Saints LT Armstead out, WR Lewis off IR

METAIRIE, La. (AP) The New Orleans Saints have activated returner and receiver Tommylee Lewis from injured reserve.

Meanwhile, the Saints have ruled out left tackle Terron Armstead for Thursday night's game against Atlanta because of his pectoral injury.

Chargers' Gordon makes case as a top RB

COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) Melvin Gordon of the Chargers is quietly stating his case that there is more than one elite all-purpose running back in Los Angeles.

Even though the Rams' Todd Gurley has commanded most of the attention when it comes to discussing the league's top running backs, Gordon is showing that he should be in that conversation as well.
